"Thank you for the very interesting newsletters and the beautiful pictures.
I cannot afford a leica M 240 which I would love to buy, but I own a Leica M6 for about 15 years. So I keep on working with my Kodak Tri-x for a while an do the prints on Ilford paper. I enjoy very much reading and watching your work. I just wanted to tell you this."

We arrived in Melbourne this morning and will be starting the workshop tomorrow, on the 4th of April with Michaels.com.au.
I found some rolls of T-Mac and slide film from 2005 that hadn't been developed, so I turned them in at Michaels.com.au that has a big lab. Shall be exiting to see what's on them

The new Leica facory in Wetzlar
Wetzlar, Germany, April 9-11, 2014
We went to Wetzlar to visit the old and the new factory, get some stuff serviced and meeting some nice people. We had great fun and enjoyed the fresh and healthy food in the new canteen.
The buzzing canteen with bright wide windows to the square in front of the factory. Here everybody from inside and outside the factory meets at lunchtime and enjoy healthy fresh cooked food, coffee and each others company. Leica M 240 with Leica 50mm Summicron-M f/2.0 II
Amongst familiar faces in the canteen we stumbled into lens designer Peter Karbe. He has gotten new glasses, and he is very happy to work in the new bulding. Joy made sure we did an Instragram selfie (as everybody does in 2014), and after a short discussion about the flare above Peter's head, Peter agrees that flare can look cool (as long as it is somebody elses lenses).
I could spend a few hours here every day, drinking coffee while listening to the fountain. Leica M 240 with Leica 50mm Summicron-M f/2.0 II

My small dragon babies ... Three bodies and three lenses to be nursed for some days.

Los Angeles
Los Angeles, United States, April 22-30, 2014
We visited Los Angeles and had a quite busy schedule. Joy participated in the three-day ASCAP music convention from 8AM to 10 PM whilst Robin and I met up with people, unpacked books and equipment that had been sent to our hotel.
