The Story Behind That Picture:
"Atlanta, the ever-growing city"

After two Overgaard Workshops in Atlanta, a fast-growing city in the 'New South,' here are some photos we took there

 

“Always Wear A Camera” is the motto, and when I went out at 6.30 AM to have a look at the foggy streets I of course had it with me. The main point was a coffee and a cigaret, but as it so often proves to be right, ‘when you take a break from taking pictures, that’s when you see them’. It was just in front of me, all I had to do was to lift the camera and frame it. Half an hour later the fog was gone and the sun was up. Atlanta seem to grow all the time. It did so in the first 30 years of 1900's when coined "New South" the city triped in citizens, and after the olympics in 1996 it has jsut been growing to a total of 7 million souls currently.

Martin Luther King was born in Atlanta in 1929, in a wooden house on 501 Auburn Avenue, now part of National Historial Park Georgia who're renovating it (to reopen in 2025).

I was surprised to find out that the airport of Atlanta is the largest in the United States. Also home of Delta Air.
