A couple of years ago I met Roger Moore on the street and asked if I could take a photo of him and his wife, Danish Kiki Tholstrup. I certainly could.
The occasion was the wedding of the Prince Joachim of Denmark to Marie Cavallier in the little cosy town Mogeltonder in Denmark, on May 24, 2008.
Sir Roger Moore and Kiki Tholstrup were invited to the wedding, and so was I, sort of. Together with 500 other press people, 6-7,000 bystanders and some million television viewers we would witness the prince’s marriage later that day.
Roger Moore and wife just happened to take a stroll up the main street in the small and normally quiet town, now with 200 television cameras flanking the route from the church in one end of the street to the castle in the other end of the street.
I stumbled over this photo the other day, hanging on my wall in the hallway. I have a large board where I put prints up, and during the last five years quite a few other prints had been put on top and had been convering Roger Moore.
October 14 is the birthday of Roger Moore. An occasion for me to have a look at the photo again and do a small remastered copy.
They were very straight forward and simple, posed for two photos that I did with my Leica Digilux 2 that I used back then, and then they continued their strawl up the street.
