"The Raffles Collection Singapore" is the first Asian exhibition of Thorsten Overgaard and opened on November 28, 2012 at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore with the exhibition title "I AM HERE".

"I AM HERE" is a unique presentation of people frozen in time, shot by the time traveler himself, Danish feature writer and photographer Thorsten Overgaard. These tall personalities range from age 6 to age 70, shot from 2010 to 2012 in Denmark, Germany, Italy, China and New York.

They are over 6 feet tal (180 cm)l, all taken with Overgaard's Leica M9, which is used to the brass and also on display in the Leica Gallery Singapore.

Overgaard's photography exhibit takes you from backstage at a bustling fashion week, to a lady calmly absorbed in her notes at Starbucks. There is the self-assured Chinese girl, a singer in a beautiful beam of light, and a New York actress posing her leggings on a parking lot.

When we look at the people in his pictures, we share intimate situations, the joys and the sorrows. Overgaard has woven everyday moments into striking experiences.

Thorsten Overgaard travels to more than 20 countries a year to photograph, teach, write articles about photography and judge photo competitions. 

His work has been published in Vanity Fair, MTV, GQ Magazine, Vogue, Time Magazine, and CNN.

"Man, as an individual, is important" is viewpoint that Overgaard takes, and skillfully reflects, in his pictures.

The artist was present at the opening reception November 28 and also hosted an exclusive workshop at the Raflles Hotel.

American actress and singer Joy Villa featured in one of the photos performed at the opening reception.

Preparing the exhibition which solely consist of large 180 cm tall prints by Thorsten Overgaard. Each print is available as very limited edition signed and numbered prints in series of only 3 samples.

The eight Big Limited Prints of the I AM HERE expo

The expo in Singapore is simply eight very large images 180 cm tall each. In that size every datail is revealed, but also new intersting details come to view.

Despite thunderstorm over Singapore we managed to have a party with performance, champagne and many intersting guests.
