The Overgaard 3-day photo workshop in Chicago (Sept 13-15, 2024) is the only workshop in September, and I do have a few new cameras and lenses I am looking forward to bringing out to this workshop.

You will learn in this workshop that some of the elements important to diving into photography are feeling inspired (as in being in a new place with new people) and being able to focus on what it is you want to create (as in removing random action and noise by avoiding busy and happening places).
No need to talk about the weather. It will be perfect for walking this time of year in Chicago (21°C / 72°F).

One of the exciting things about an Overgaard Workshop (that you didn't expect) is the portrait photography part. A few hours where you get your personal crash course in working closely with a living person in front of the camera, and how to master the technical perfection of a photo using a reflector, light meter, color meter, and how to time the exact right moment to capture the soul of another person. You might also get to experience being in front of the camera, if you like.
